Fourth Grade Reading Groups

Welcome to the world of Fourth Grade! Within fourth grade, your student(s)' Reading instruction is multi-tiered.

  • They learn many reading strategies through the use of our 9 Good Habits and Imagine textbooks.
  • They will also begin their Accelerated Reading program, which is an intensive, independent reading contract program. See the Language Arts section for more information.
  • Starting with a group novel, your child will begin reading groups. Within these groups, students will begin to develop many skills necessary for EOG's and life. Included in these are main idea, poetry, writing, computer skills, and more.

Feel free to ask your child's Reading teacher a question at any time. We look forward to working with you.
