Guinea Pig a interesting animals. I have one her name is Hoppy. To take care of a Guinea pig you have to feed them. Two big things: 1. They can't produce their own vitamin C 2.They are a creature of habit and like to be fed at the same time everyday. When you pick a guinea pig up they may give a "squeak of protest". If they do you may need to weaken your grasp. The proper way to pick up a guinea pig is to slip one hand on the chest and one on the hindquarters, this way it will feel more secure. Housig a guinea pig is not that simple. Tip: Buy a liner or use newspaper to put at the bottom of the cage. Once you have put the bedding in for a treat you can put hay for the guinea pig to nibble on during the day so it will not get board and possibly start to pull out its hair. If you perfer not to put hay it would be a good idea to provide them something to do.
